About the Role

The Automotive Design & Manufacturing Account Technical Lead plays a critical role in driving customer technical engagements and developing strategic technical visions for Autodesk's clients in the automotive industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the design and manufacturing process, as well as the ability to analyze complex technical workflows and develop innovative solutions. As a key member of the account team, the Account Technical Lead will work closely with account executives, technical specialists, and customers to identify business needs and develop tailored solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and manufacturing, with a focus on the automotive industry. They will be able to drive technical discovery across multiple workflows, systems, and disciplines, and develop clear ROI narratives and solution justification artifacts. The ability to build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with technical and business stakeholders is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

What You Will Do

  • Drive technical discovery across multiple workflows, systems, and disciplines to gather, document, and validate customer technical requirements and current-state environments
  • Create technical Customer Outcome Proposals (COP) and deployment paths, including clear ROI narratives and solution justification artifacts
  • Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with technical and business stakeholders as a strategic technical advisor
  • Develop and maintain a Customer Technical Vision (CTV) that captures the technical footprint, long-term goals, and adoption strategy
  • Proactively identify expansion opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Help coordinate internal specialists for demonstrations and technical discussions
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to shape opportunity strategy using technical insights
  • Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and action items in internal systems
  • Gather and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of technical solutions and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and growth

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of industry knowledge or Autodesk expertise
  • Good understanding of software applications, SaaS platforms, or technical workflows
  • Experience building long-term relationships with technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong interest in customer-facing technical roles and developing storytelling and persuasion skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn complex technologies and industry workflows
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time throughout North America and Europe
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation

  • Degree in design, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Background in the Design and Manufacturing industry with a focus on Automotive
  • Expertise in Autodesk solutions or comparable enterprise technology platforms
