About the Role
The AV and Events Engineer L2 role is a critical part of Twilio's global operations, supporting the company's remote-first hybrid work environment. This position requires a skilled professional to manage audiovisual technology, provide support for office AV needs, remote event support, and executive support for industry conferences. What You Will Do
- Manage and maintain AV equipment, including setup, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs for office spaces, meeting rooms, and event venues.
- Provide technical support and assistance during meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring smooth operation of AV equipment.
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand AV requirements and provide recommendations for AV setup, equipment selection, and configuration.
- Assist in the planning and execution of remote events, including webinars, virtual conferences, and live streaming sessions.
- Provide executive-level support for AV needs during industry conferences and events, including setup, rehearsals, troubleshooting, and on-site assistance.
- Stay updated on the latest AV technology trends, advancements, and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Research and evaluate new AV tools, software, and equipment, including bleeding-edge technologies.
- Manage AV inventory, track equipment usage, and ensure proper maintenance and replacement of AV assets as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, facilities, and event planning, to coordinate AV requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on AV equipment operation, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain documentation, including AV setup instructions, troubleshooting guides, and equipment specifications.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in AV engineering, event support, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in AV technologies, including audio systems, video displays, and video conferencing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with event planning, execution, and support, including remote events.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest AV technology trends and advancements.
- Experience with AV equipment management, including setup, installation, and maintenance.
- Certification in AV engineering or a related field (optional but preferred).
