About the Role

The Backend Developer role at AV Group is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and web design. As a backend developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust web applications and APIs that support mobile and desktop clients. What You Will Do

  • Design and develop robust web applications and APIs that support mobile and desktop clients
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure that the highest standards are maintained
  • Resolve issues and profile and analyze bottlenecks to ensure high-performance and scalability
  • Design and implement automated tests to ensure business needs are met
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Participate in agile development methodologies to ensure rapid and flexible responses to change

What We Are Looking For

  • A strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and web design
  • 3+ years of experience as a backend developer
  • Experience with JavaScript, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git, or MongoDB
  • Experience in writing highly secure web applications
  • Experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies
  • A growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science
  • Experience in designing RESTful APIs, specifically for mobile apps
  • Experience in leading a team
