About the Role
Stripe is seeking a Backend Engineer for its Core Tech team in Toronto, Canada, offering remote work options. The successful candidate will contribute to the reliability, scale, performance, and cost of Stripe’s systems.Responsibilities
- Work on critical business areas including Core Infrastructure, Developer Infrastructure, Data Platform, Admin Platform, and Support Experience.
- Build and maintain the foundational platform for Stripe products and services to operate at scale.
- Drive reliability, availability, efficiency, and scalability of these systems.
Requirements
- Experience with backend engineering, particularly in designing and implementing scalable and reliable systems.
- Strong understanding of digital skills and remote work methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with large-scale distributed services and open-source technologies like Trino/Presto, Apache Pinot, Hive Metastore, ElasticSearch.
