About the Role

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will be responsible for leading the freshness commitment in your bakery. This means starting your day with an empty bakery and ending it with a wide variety of artisan bread and delicious treats for the community to enjoy. You will work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes and maintaining a clean and organized bakery.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through the company's training programs, including the Bronze and Silver baker Development Qualification program.

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organized bakery, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mould and shape dough, and process everything through the ovens
  • Contribute to a great customer experience by providing excellent service and ensuring that products are presented in an appealing manner
  • Develop your skills through the company's training programs
  • Work independently or as part of a small team to achieve daily goals
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure that all products are of high quality and meet the company's standards
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

  • Previous baking experience is an asset, but not required
