About the Role
COBS Bread is seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join their team in Windsor. As a Baker, you will be responsible for leading the freshness commitment, working with a small team to bake artisan bread and delicious treats for the community to enjoy. This role is ideal for individuals who are early risers, have a great attitude, and are willing to learn and grow with the company.The bakery environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring bakers to work efficiently and effectively to meet production schedules. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who share a commitment to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do
- Work as part of a small team to bake each morning, following carefully crafted recipes
- Read production schedules and recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens
- Maintain a clean and organized bakery environment, contributing to a great customer experience
- Work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
- Develop and maintain knowledge of baking principles and techniques, staying up-to-date with new recipes and products
- Participate in training programs and workshops, developing your skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals
- Contribute to the development of new products and recipes, providing feedback and suggestions
What We Are Looking For
- 1-2 years of baking experience, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Great attitude and good organizational skills
- Knowledge of baking principles and techniques
- Ability to read and follow recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production schedules and deadlines
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 22 kg, with frequent turning and reaching
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working in a bakery or customer-facing environment
- Knowledge of digital skills and technology, with the ability to use point-of-sale systems and other software
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of new products and recipes
- Experience with team leadership or supervision
