About the Role
As a Baker at Woolworths Group, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of products to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the bakery team to ensure that all products are made to specification and meet the company's high standards. What You Will Do
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products to the highest quality standards
- Work closely with the bakery team to ensure that all products are made to specification
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Operate a range of bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers
- Develop and implement new recipes and products to meet changing customer demands
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer feedback
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including sales and marketing, to promote products and drive sales
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of the bakery team and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect
What We Are Looking For
- Formal baking qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work early morning shifts and weekends
