Base Senior Product Manager, Growth

About the Role

The role is based on a flexible, remote work arrangement, with regular in-person meetings and offsites to foster collaboration and alignment. As a senior product manager, you'll be expected to operate independently, making strategic decisions and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

The trading growth strategy at Coinbase is focused on increasing monthly active transacting users and trading market share. To achieve this, you'll need to have a deep understanding of market trends, trading experiences, and growth strategies. You'll be responsible for driving the development of innovative features, optimizing the user experience, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.

What You Will Do

• Lead the strategy and execution for acquisition and retention loops, including referral/affiliate programs, win-back flows, and gamification mechanics
• Own end-to-end development for trading experiences, ensuring intuitive and efficient spot and derivative trading flows
• Co-own high-intent systems like Watchlists and Price Alerts with the Trading team, using them as hooks to drive users back into the app
• Drive a rigorous data-driven culture by running A/B tests on onboarding funnels, abandonment flows, and notification delivery
• Oversee the Growth Platform, including the ML/policy layer for intelligent notifications, attribution tracking for paid marketing, and the Activity Tab UX
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to balance trading primitives with growth optimizations
• Partner with Legal, Growth, and Finance to ensure all growth incentives and trading features meet global compliance and liquidity standards
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market trends, trading experiences, and growth strategies
• Drive the development of innovative features and optimize the user experience

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, specifically within consumer-facing fintech, exchange, or onchain trading environments
• Proven track record of scaling products via lifecycle marketing, referral loops, and retention mechanics
• Deep understanding of market structure, order types, execution quality, and liquidity
• Experience with data-driven development, defining North Star metrics, and navigating attribution complexity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of growth strategies, user acquisition, and retention mechanics

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning and data science, particularly in the context of trading and growth
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology
• Familiarity with design thinking and user experience principles
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
