About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Conduct research using behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies in an applied government setting
  • Collect field data, conduct interviews, enter data, and conduct quality assurance checks on data
  • Support the development of research results through briefings and technical reports
  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure research products' quality, timeliness, and accuracy
  • Interface with customers and sponsors to meet their requirements, including detailed coordination
  • Brief Army personnel, observe training events, capture details of training events, and assess training outcomes
  • Work as part of a team to devise analytical approaches, develop data collection instruments, and collate data from various sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research aligns with organizational goals
  • Develop and maintain databases to track and analyze data
  • Prepare and present research findings to both internal and external stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, or an MS/MA degree
  • Experience supporting Army behavioral research projects
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral science principles, methodologies, and technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools/platforms (R, Python, Power Bi, Army Vantage)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice to Have

  • PhD in a Behavioral Science field such as Psychology or Sociology
  • Former Army field grade officer or Senior non-commissioned officer with relevant advanced degree
  • Experience working in an applied government setting
  • Familiarity with Army operations and protocols
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling
