About the Role

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role involve conversing with advanced language models on various language scenarios, verifying factual accuracy and logical soundness, capturing reproducible error traces, and suggesting improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics. This position requires a deep understanding of the Bhojpuri language, including its grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.

As a Bhojpuri Dialect Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that require your expertise in areas such as verb conjugation, case systems, word order, declensions, gender, and stylistic variation. What You Will Do

• Converse with advanced language models on various Bhojpuri language scenarios to test their understanding and response.

• Capture and document reproducible error traces to identify areas for improvement.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics to enhance model performance.

• Document and analyze the models' failures to contribute to the hardening of model reasoning.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and refine the training data and models.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in AI and linguistic research to contribute to the project's evolution.
• Participate in discussions on linguistic analysis and the development of evaluation metrics.
• Provide clear, metacognitive communication of your thought process and analysis.

What We Are Looking For

• A bachelor's degree in Bhojpuri language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Expertise in Bhojpuri grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Experience in linguistic analysis, teaching, or research, preferably with peer-reviewed publications.
• Strong understanding of language models and their applications.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high-speed internet and a secure computer.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to 'show your work' and provide clear explanations.
