About the Role

The Biomedical Clinical Engineer Senior role at Ibility is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for managing medical equipment and programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and driving innovation in the healthcare industry. Your day-to-day activities will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including technical and professional staff, to design and implement creative solutions that delight customers and improve employee efficiency.

The role is contingent upon award, with an expected start date in March 2026. What You Will Do

  • Manage medical equipment and programs, ensuring compliance with applicable healthcare standards and regulatory agencies
  • Conduct medical equipment management programs, including recall and safety alert programs for medical devices
  • Investigate medical device hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including technical and professional staff, to design and implement creative solutions
  • Develop and implement training programs for medical staff on new equipment and technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and advancements in medical technology
  • Participate in incident investigations involving medical equipment and develop strategies to prevent future incidents
  • Develop and manage budgets for medical equipment and programs
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CCE)
  • 20+ years of hospital and healthcare experience, maintaining medical equipment and managing hospital medical equipment programs
  • 20+ years of experience and skill in communicating and working collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • 10+ years of expertise in incident investigations involving medical equipment and setting associated national healthcare system guidance
  • Knowledge of concepts related to computer-based medical systems, networking protocols, and information security
  • Competency in conducting a medical equipment management program that is compliant with applicable healthcare standards and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to manage a recall and safety alert program for medical devices

Nice to Have

  • Experience within a VA medical center and Biomedical Engineering department
  • Experience working in or with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA)
  • Understanding of VISN, VA medical center, and Biomedical Engineering department operations
