Job Description

About the Role

The Blade Repair Deployment Leader is a critical position at GE Vernova, responsible for leading the development and deployment of new blade repair technologies and tooling for the global Wind Service OM&U Business. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and process improvement knowledge. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and a proven track record of leading lean efforts and process improvements. They will be responsible for establishing global training requirements and strategies for new products, as well as leading the full operational deployment of new technologies.

As a remote worker, you will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team. You will need to be self-motivated, disciplined, and able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver results.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development and deployment of new blade repair technologies and tooling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements
  • Establish global training requirements and strategies for new products
  • Lead the full operational deployment of new technologies
  • Provide technical direction and support to remote and on-site teams
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean efforts for new and existing capabilities
  • Develop and deploy new standards to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Analyze and resolve problems related to blade repair and wind service
  • Document, plan, market, and execute programs related to blade repair and wind service
  • Coordinate projects and changes, and influence stakeholders to achieve goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including international travel
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of blade repair and wind service
  • Experience with lean principles and process improvement
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Blade Repair Engineering experience and/or Blade Repair / Wind Service troubleshooting & maintenance hands-on experience
  • REDP (Renewable Energy Development Program), RELP (Renewable Energy Leadership Program), FEP (Field Engineering Program) graduate
  • Lean, Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
