About the Role
The Block Operator role at SAL TRADING LIMITED is a key position within the Manufacturing Department, focusing on the operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure the efficient production of concrete blocks. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the manufacturing process, requiring a combination of physical strength, technical skills, and attention to detail. The Block Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure that all aspects of the manufacturing process are running safely and efficiently.Day-to-day, the Block Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring the cuber, ensuring that concrete blocks are stacked, organized, and prepared for transport or storage. This will involve performing routine checks on equipment to prevent any malfunctions and ensure that all safety protocols are followed. The role also involves operating a forklift to move materials around the plant, load and unload products, and maintain a clean and organized yard area.

What You Will Do
- Operate and monitor the cuber to stack, organize, and prepare concrete blocks for transport or storage
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure it is running safely and efficiently
- Operate a forklift to move materials, load/unload products, and maintain a clean and organized yard
- Assist with general plant operations, including material handling and basic equipment maintenance
- Learn and develop skills to eventually operate the full block plant production system
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge
