About the Role
As a BMW Automotive Diagnostic Specialist at AirPro Diagnostics, you will be part of a cutting-edge team that is revolutionizing the way automotive diagnostics are approached. Your primary focus will be on remotely performing pre-scans and post-repair diagnostic scans to ensure that vehicles are properly repaired and their ADAS systems are calibrated to the manufacturer's specifications. What You Will Do
- Perform remote pre-scans and post-repair diagnostic scans on vehicles to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic scan tools to read codes, program components, and perform bi-directional tests.
- Interpret and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data for reference and reporting.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to technicians and non-technical clients effectively.
- Work closely with collision repair facilities to ensure that vehicles are properly repaired and calibrated.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in automotive diagnostics.
- Participate in continuous training and education to maintain and enhance your skills.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine diagnostic procedures and best practices.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety and quality standards.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 or more years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a diagnostic master or lead technician.
- 1 year of experience interacting directly with customers.
- ASE or OEM certifications (while not required, they are highly valued).
- Strong working knowledge of advanced and OE level diagnostic scan tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Nice to Have
- Bilingual skills (Spanish being a plus).
- Experience with ADAS systems calibration and repair.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
