## About the Role As a Bodily Injury Adjuster at Allstate, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving moderate to complex bodily injury claims in a remote setting. This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders. Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing medical reports, taking recorded statements, and determining liability and damages. The role is part of a larger team that handles represented claims for New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, so experience with these regions is preferred. ## What You Will Do - Investigate moderate to complex bodily injury claims, including single-car accidents and multi-vehicle collisions - Review medical reports and determine the extent of injuries and damages - Take recorded statements from claimants, witnesses, and other stakeholders - Determine liability and damages, and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys - Manage and resolve complex customer communications, concerns, and conflicts - Research and respond to Department of Insurance complaints and investigations - Summarize documents and enter notes into the claim system - Set initial reserves, update reserves, and document rationale and claim summary notes - Determine and explain minimum coverage limits in complex claims involving single or multiple claimants - Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes
## What We Are Looking For - 2-5 years of experience handling moderate to complex bodily injury claims - Prior experience with represented casualty claims - Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting - Proficient computer skills, including experience with claim systems and software - Familiarity with innovative tools and platforms for effective claims evaluation
## Nice to Have - Experience working with claims in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania - Knowledge of business interruption, loss of income, and Errors and Omissions (E&O) policies - Certification as an insurance adjuster or appraiser - Experience with remote work and virtual communication tools
