Job Description

About the Role

The Bookkeeper position at Outsourcey is a critical component of the company's financial management team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing e-commerce operations, ensuring seamless customer support, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in Excel and accounting software will be essential in driving the company's financial strategy forward.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with the financial team to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial statements. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital in maintaining the integrity of financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a key member of the Outsourcey team, you will report to the Financial Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Manage e-commerce operations, including order processing and inventory management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
  • Develop and implement financial processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve customer inquiries
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to inform business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including banks and auditors

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, retail, customer service, or bookkeeping roles
  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and collaborative work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google Workspace or other cloud-based productivity tools
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting, such as CPA or CMA
