About the Role

The Bookkeeper role at Vidinext is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to support the financial administration of a Swiss-incorporated, FSE-listed media technology company and its subsidiaries in Germany. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing invoices and payments, and ensuring VAT compliance. This role can be arranged as part-time, full-time, or freelance work, offering flexibility and autonomy for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, with experience working with financial software and a solid understanding of local GAAP requirements. What You Will Do

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in line with local GAAP requirements
  • Process invoices and payments in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure VAT compliance, including EU OSS obligations
  • Report to the CFO on financial performance and provide insights for business decisions
  • Support intercompany transactions and listed-company reporting obligations
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless financial operations
  • Develop and implement processes to improve financial efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Provide training and support to other team members as needed
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities

What We Are Looking For

  • Fluency in German (essential)
  • Working proficiency in English (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
  • Strong understanding of local GAAP requirements and financial regulations
  • Experience with financial software and accounting systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with intercompany transactions and listed-company reporting obligations
  • Knowledge of EU VAT laws and regulations
