About the Role

The BP Resin Sales Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving the sales of chromatography resins, a critical component in the biopharmaceutical industry's downstream processing. This role involves not only selling products but also providing technical consultation and application support to ensure customer satisfaction and drive long-term sales growth. The specialist will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, customer-centricity, and collaboration.

Day-to-day, the specialist will engage with key customers, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions that meet their requirements. This involves guiding customers on resin selection, process optimization, and scale-up, as well as managing key customer relationships and maintaining CRM records and forecasts. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product management, is essential for success in this role.

The BP Resin Sales Specialist reports to the Sr. Manager Bioprocess Resin and is part of the Bioprocess modality, which operates remotely to cover assigned sales territories. This setup allows for flexibility and autonomy, perfect for self-motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

What You Will Do

  • Drive Design-In and Spec-Win activities for chromatography resins by identifying new opportunities and closing deals.
  • Leverage deep technical and application knowledge of the resin portfolio to support both short- and long-term sales growth.
  • Plan and conduct customer meetings, proactively identifying and monitoring molecule pipelines to secure Design-In wins.
  • Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets through precise monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to prioritize selling time, maximize sales volume, deepen account penetration, and ensure full territory coverage.
  • Strategically plan mid- to long-term activities aligned with customer projects.
  • Inform customers about resin solutions to build a strong sales funnel, in close collaboration with Account Managers, Specialists, and Marketing.
  • Share insights on market trends and competitor activity with Marketing and Product Management.
  • Partner with Account Managers and Regional Marketing to organize impactful seminars, user days, product trainings, and new product introductions.
  • Support these events with resin-specific presentations and technical expertise, ensuring timely follow-up on marketing activities and portfolio-generated leads.

What We Are Looking For

  • A Master’s degree, preferably a Ph.D., in Biological Sciences with a strong technical expertise in chromatography resins.
  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience in the Downstream Processing division of the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Proven project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CRM software and forecasting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • A self-starter with a passion for building and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
