About the Role

The BPL Post Closing Specialist role is crucial for ensuring the smooth transition of loans from closing to boarding and final settlement. This position supports Valere Commercial's post-closing workflows by coordinating data, documentation, and third-party communications to ensure compliance, data integrity, and timely delivery of final collateral and documentation. As part of the team, you will work closely with internal counterparts and external partners to achieve these goals.

Day-to-day, the role entails preparing, reviewing, and distributing loan data tapes, supporting the transfer of post-closing loan images, and responding to questions from internal teams and external partners. The ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and manage multiple deadlines is essential. The role is part of a dynamic, growing environment where processes are evolving, requiring adaptability and a willingness to learn.

The team context is collaborative, with operations leadership maintaining smooth post-closing workflows and identifying process gaps for improvement. Reporting structures are hierarchical, with clear lines of communication to ensure timely and accurate information flow.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare, review, and distribute loan data tapes for investors, servicers, warehouse partners, or internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to required formats and timelines.
  • Support and execute the transfer of post-closing loan images and document packages from the Loan Origination System (LOS) to SFTP repositories.
  • Monitor for successful delivery, troubleshoot issues, and validate completeness of loan images and document packages.
  • Respond to questions from internal teams and external partners regarding loan files, documentation status, corrections, and exceptions.
  • Assist with preparing and organizing files for post-closing audits, investor reviews, or internal quality control.
  • Track findings, follow up on remediation items, and ensure documentation meets all compliance and underwriting standards.
  • Support the movement, tracking, and reconciliation of collateral documents, final recorded documents, and title policies.
  • Coordinate with internal counterparts that work with title companies, custodians, and servicing partners to ensure timely receipt, accuracy, and proper delivery.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to maintain smooth post-closing workflows, identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support scaling efforts as Valere Commercial grows.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in mortgage, private lending, or commercial real estate finance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LOS platforms, SFTP processes, and document management tools.
