About the Role

Inngest is seeking an experienced Brand Designer to join its team, focusing on executing a brand that resonates with developers across various channels. This role is crucial as it involves bringing the Inngest brand to life through a wide range of deliverables, from digital ad creatives and social graphics to physical products like swag and experiential designs for events. The ideal candidate will be proactive, creative, and excited about collaborating with a team dedicated to enhancing developer experience.

The Brand Designer will work closely with the Head of Design, marketing, DevRel, and sales teams to ensure all design work is on-brand, timely, and tailored for a developer audience. This is a high-variety role, with no two weeks looking the same, offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects and grow professionally in a remote-first environment.

What You Will Do

  • Execute brand design across marketing, sales, and community channels, ensuring consistency and high quality.
  • Develop digital designs, including ad creatives, landing pages, social graphics, email templates, blog visuals, sales decks, and long-form reports and guides.
  • Design physical products such as swag (tees, stickers, hats) that developers will appreciate, understanding production constraints and vendor management.
  • Create experiential designs for events, including booth graphics, signage, banners, badges, and conference materials.
  • Build templates and systems to facilitate fast and efficient design work without compromising quality.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all design work, with an understanding of where the brand system can evolve.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand briefs and turn them into polished, on-brand work.
  • Work with vendors for physical products, managing print and production processes effectively.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in brand design, with a portfolio that showcases your ability to execute across various formats.
  • Fluency in Figma, with comfort in using Illustrator and InDesign, and the ability to adapt brand systems across different formats.
  • Experience in print and production management, including understanding of bleeds, dielines, CMYK, and the process of translating designs into physical products.
  • Developer empathy, with a willingness to understand and cater to the needs and preferences of a developer audience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, to collaborate effectively with the team and explain design decisions.
  • Ability to work at speed without compromising quality, with a high level of organization and time management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with programmatic design and account-based marketing (ABM) programs, including designing for personalized landing pages and targeted ad variations.
  • Familiarity with AI-augmented workflows and tools like Cursor, Claude, or Midjourney to enhance design capabilities.
  • Skills in motion and animation, including After Effects, Lottie, or CSS animations, to bring designs to life.
