About the Role

The Business Analyst position at Mercuryo is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of product, data, and economics within the Boost product stream. This involves taking high-level ideas from the Product team and turning them into fully defined, ready-for-development specifications. The focus is on designing features that drive repeat usage and maximize long-term value, with a strong emphasis on retention, conversion, and profitability.

Day-to-day, the role entails collaborating with various teams, including Product, Design, and Development, to ensure that features are not only economically viable but also provide an outstanding user experience. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Product team to understand product requirements, break them down into actionable specifications, and develop economic logic and calculations. The position also involves designing multiple implementation scenarios, considering trade-offs in unit economics, and building and maintaining feature-level metrics.

What You Will Do

  • Take high-level product requirements and break them down into UX flows, user and functional requirements, acceptance criteria, economic logic, and calculations.
  • Design multiple implementation scenarios, including trade-offs in unit economics.
  • Build and maintain feature-level metrics to track performance and inform future development.
  • Ensure proper tracking setup with the Data and Product Management teams.
  • Validate data quality to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop unit economics models together with the Product and Pricing teams.
  • Collaborate with the Design team to balance UX, conversion, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate across Development, QA, and stakeholders to proactively manage risks and ensure smooth feature delivery.
  • Own and maintain documentation in Confluence and support the estimation process.
  • Generate and validate hypotheses based on data to propose metric-driven improvements.
  • Work closely with the Product team to define UX requirements and ensure alignment with product goals.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience in Business or Product Analytics within product teams.
  • Experience with loyalty and retention programs, such as cashback or rewards, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of product metrics, including retention, conversion, and profitability.
  • Hands-on experience with unit economics and product economics.
  • Experience working closely with designers and defining UX requirements.
  • Proven ability to drive features end-to-end, from product requirement to delivery.
  • Basic SQL skills and experience with analytics tools.
  • Experience with Excel or Google Spreadsheets.
  • Strong soft skills, including communication, ownership, and prioritization.

Nice to Have

  • Background in fintech, crypto, or payments.
  • Experience with pricing and monetization strategies.
  • Experience with event tracking and integrations.
