About the Role

The Business Continuity Specialist role at TechBiz Global is a critical component of the company's risk management strategy. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans that ensure the company's operations are resilient and can withstand disruptions. This is a highly visible role that requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and senior management.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve conducting risk assessments, identifying potential threats, and evaluating the impact of disruptions on business operations. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure that systems and processes are resilient and can withstand disasters, and you will develop and maintain documentation that outlines business continuity plans and procedures.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and evaluate the impact of disruptions on business operations
  • Coordinate and lead BCP/DR testing exercises to identify gaps and recommend improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work with IT and business units to ensure systems and processes are resilient
  • Maintain documentation and regularly update business continuity plans
  • Provide training and awareness programs across the organization to ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in business continuity
  • Serve as a key contact during actual disruptions or incidents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure that business continuity plans are aligned with their capabilities and limitations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business continuity and disaster recovery

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in business continuity, risk management, or disaster recovery
  • Strong understanding of BCP/DR frameworks and industry standards
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant certification in business continuity or a related field is a plus
  • Experience with Excel and other productivity tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
