About the Role
YipitData is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Associate to join its team. As a key member of the SpendHound platform, this role will focus on driving growth through outbound client engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a passion for innovative technologies. The Business Development Associate will work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging a range of communication channels to secure meetings and drive interest in the SpendHound platform.The role is based in the United States and offers the flexibility of remote work, with the option to work from one of YipitData's office hubs in NYC, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle. What You Will Do
- Utilize outbound sales skills to engage with prospective clients and drive interest in the SpendHound platform
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed targets
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Leverage Salesforce and other sales technology tools to track progress and analyze results
- Conduct research to identify potential clients and decision-makers
- Craft and send targeted emails and LinkedIn messages to prospective clients
- Make cold calls to prospective clients to introduce the SpendHound platform and secure meetings
- Work closely with the sales development manager to refine sales messaging and approach
- Continuously update and expand knowledge of the SpendHound platform and its applications
- Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
- Provide feedback to the sales development team to help refine the sales strategy
What We Are Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in a high-velocity sales environment
- High proficiency in English within a business environment
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Experience working with Salesforce and other sales technology tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box
- Experience working in a U.S.-based tech company selling to U.S. prospects
- Strong emotional intelligence and empathy
Nice to Have
- Experience working with data analytics and market research tools
- Knowledge of the software renewal management space
- Familiarity with procurement and negotiation strategies
- Certification in sales or a related field
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
