About the Role
The Business Development Director will play a crucial role in driving growth and expansion in the European market. As a key member of the aftermarket services team, this individual will be responsible for developing strategic plans to identify and secure new revenue streams. With a strong focus on customer relationships and industry insights, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the electronic manufacturing services sector.The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to translate customer needs into end-to-end solutions. As the primary architect for market expansion in Europe, the Business Development Director will be responsible for driving business growth and shaping the regional strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the EMS and aftermarket services sectors, with a strong ability to open new market opportunities and build relationships with key decision-makers.
What You Will Do
- Identify and validate new business opportunities through prospecting and cold-calling
- Develop strategic plans to sell solutions to business development targets based on SRV insights
- Utilize strategic selling techniques to gain business from assigned target accounts
- Maintain a deep understanding of current and potential customers, including their products, funding, and future manufacturing strategies
- Partner with Plexus engineering and manufacturing teams to translate customer needs into end-to-end solutions
- Develop multi-level relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders
- Execute the overall sector marketing strategy in coordination with regional and global leadership
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets and grow the customer base
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to drive business growth
