About the Role
The Business Development Manager, Applications, will play a crucial role in driving growth and adoption of Watts Water Technologies' innovative water solutions and HVAC systems. This remote position, based in the North Central US, requires a highly motivated and experienced professional to work closely with end-users, contractors, and engineers to develop and implement tailored solutions. As part of the Mega Projects team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate product selection, installation, and operation.The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the commercial and industrial market segments, including data centers, EV battery, and semiconductor verticals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product management, to drive business growth and stay ahead of the competition.
What You Will Do
- Provide day-to-day technical field support and troubleshooting for Hydronic Cooling, Process Water, Technical Water & HVAC applications
- Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on training programs for end-users, contractors, engineers, and sales agents
- Create and maintain technical/master specifications that call out the use of Watts products and solutions
- Build long-term relationships with end-users, customers, contractors, and engineers to drive specifications
- Collaborate with the sales team to strengthen Watts Water Technologies' market position
- Attend industry standards committees, trade shows, and key industry events to represent Watts and its products
- Develop a deep understanding of industry and local/national plumbing codes
- Provide input to marketing, product management, and engineering to support new product development and services
- Escalate delays and roadblocks to resolve conflicts before they impact execution and delivery
- Make recommendations to improve existing processes or suggest new processes to improve quality and on-time delivery
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in technical and field sales environments
- 3+ years of experience in the flow control industry, with an understanding of valve and actuation applications
- Strong problem-solving and creative solution skills
- Customer-centric mindset
- Ability to work remotely and travel frequently (near a major airport)
- Strong understanding of hydronic cooling, process piping, HVAC, and actuation valves within commercial and industrial plumbing, HVAC, and industrial process industries
- Experience with classroom and field training programs
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations

- Experience working with data centers, EV battery, and semiconductor verticals
