About the Role
The Business Development Manager position at MasonBlue is a remote opportunity that offers flexibility, ownership, and strong earning potential. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for expanding the company's cybersecurity, identity governance, managed services, and IT services portfolio across SMB and mid-market clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve identifying new business opportunities, engaging with clients, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies that drive success.The role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and to leverage this knowledge to identify new opportunities and build strong relationships with clients and partners. What You Will Do
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across SMB and mid-market organizations
- Conduct outreach via LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and direct engagement
- Initiate and manage client conversations, including discovery and qualification
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape solutions and proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and referral sources
- Build strategic partnerships with consultants, IT providers, and local businesses
- Support deal progression from initial contact through closure
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to identify new opportunities
- Develop and implement account plans to drive revenue growth
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition
- Background in cybersecurity, IT services, consulting, or related fields
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Existing professional network
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
- Comfortable working in a commission-based model
- Experience with LinkedIn outreach and CRM tools (Zoho experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
