Job Description

About the Role

The Business Development Manager - Engineering Services is a key position at Uponor, responsible for developing and cascading sales opportunities for the company's total polymer piping systems. This includes building relationships with key engineering firms, owners, and developers to create awareness of Uponor's solutions and drive sales growth. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think strategically.

The role is fully remote, with the ideal candidate located in the Northeast region of the United States. As a member of the Uponor team, the Business Development Manager will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and increase market share
  • Build and maintain relationships with key engineering firms, owners, and developers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and lead generation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sales plans and strategies
  • Provide feedback and insights to inform product development and marketing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports using Salesforce.com
  • Coordinate product and installation training as necessary to support sales objectives
  • Collaborate with Uponor's construction services team to develop integrated system designs
  • Work closely with regional Territory Sales managers to leverage relationships with contractors
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Uponor's products and solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, business, or marketing)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in sales, marketing, or business development
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of polymer piping systems
  • Excellent communication, planning, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and other CRM systems
  • Ability to travel up to 50% monthly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with engineering specification sales, wholesale distribution, and manufacturer's representative sales
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and construction services
  • Certification in sales, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
