About the Role

The Business Development Manager - ESG role at Azeus Convene is a critical position that will drive the growth of the company's ESG software sales. What You Will Do

  • Provide day-to-day hands-on sales execution, including marketing requirements
  • Build key customer relationships and identify business opportunities
  • Negotiate and close business deals
  • Manage pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations and advising on bid preparation
  • Support the sales team with ESG domain knowledge
  • Provide advisory services to clients and prospects on ESG reporting compliance
  • Onboard clients to the ESG reporting platform
  • Study various ESG reporting frameworks and contribute to the evolution of the ESG reporting platform
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, including pursuing sales leads and prospective clients
  • Attend trade shows and deliver customer presentations and proposals
  • Maintain awareness of legislation and best practices in ESG reporting

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 years' experience in sales, preferably in the ESG or sustainability sector
  • Strong background in ESG reporting or ratings/analysis
  • Excellent sales and marketing skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of ESG trends and topics
  • Experience with ESG reporting frameworks and standards
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of sustainability reporting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work remotely and manage a sales pipeline
