About the Role

The Business Development Manager, Real-World Data, will be a key driver of Glooko's growth within the Life Sciences sector. This role entails focusing on the acquisition of new business and the expansion of Glooko's Real-World Data (RWD) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) offerings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business development, a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities. Glooko's comprehensive diabetes management platform supports clinical workflow optimization and improved outcomes in the outpatient setting. The company's acquisition of Monarch Medical Technologies has further strengthened its position in the market, providing a unique opportunity for the Business Development Manager to leverage Glooko's capabilities and drive growth.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively research the Life Science industry to identify prospective partners and key stakeholders who require RWD/RWE solutions for clinical research and commercial strategy
  • Develop and execute an inside sales strategy, incorporating cold outreach, personalized email sequences, and LinkedIn engagement to prospect potential partners
  • Define and implement stakeholder mapping and account plans that strategically build a network of key contacts to drive account growth and pipeline development
  • Own the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to building relationships with key stakeholders, as well as negotiation and contracting for expansion opportunities with current partners
  • Act as a subject matter expert, aligning Glooko's unique data capabilities with the strategic research and commercial needs of partners to improve outcomes in diabetes and comorbid conditions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure a unified approach to business development and growth
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and strategic alliances
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that all agreements align with Glooko's business objectives and strategic goals

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the life sciences or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of success in driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding existing relationships
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
