About the Role
The Business Development Operations Associate role at Nerdwallet is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to join the company's growing SMB Lending business. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, scaling, and optimizing business development processes, ensuring seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the company's ability to deliver exceptional services to its customers.The role reports to the Director of Business Development for Small Business, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including partnership managers, editorial, compliance, and analytics. Your expertise will be crucial in building, maintaining, and improving processes that support the partner ecosystem and internal teams.

What You Will Do
- Own and manage critical business development operations that support the partner ecosystem and internal teams
- Maintain and analyze weekly and monthly performance data, dashboards, and internal/external reporting
- Lead cross-functional projects from intake through execution, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, and delivery
- Serve as a primary operational contact for approximately 100 partners, triaging and responding to requests related to pricing, product updates, editorial changes, growth inquiries, and compliance adjustments
- Develop and produce monthly rankings and placements across credit card, banking, lending, and software products
- Identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues, acting as an internal subject matter expert
- Support partner onboarding and contract workflows, including documentation collection and internal approvals
- Build, improve, and scale templates and processes to increase efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with teams to develop and implement process improvements
- Provide operational support for business development initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in project management, business development operations, or operations roles with end-to-end ownership of projects
- Strong analytical skills with experience working in dashboards, reporting, and performance data
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to drive initiatives to completion
- Clear, thoughtful communicator who builds strong cross-functional relationships
- Comfortable coordinating across multiple teams with competing priorities
- Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Looker/Tableau, and MS Office
- Experience working in a finance, fintech, or lending environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to continuously improve how things work
