Job Description

About the Role

The Business Development & Partnerships role at Resend is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to build and lead the company's partnerships function from the ground up. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for sourcing and closing integration partnerships, building and running referral, reseller, and OEM programs, and negotiating partnership agreements that protect Resend's interests while driving growth. You will work closely with the product team to unblock stalled integrations and ensure that partnerships are mutually beneficial.

The role involves working with a variety of partners, from legacy enterprise vendors to AI-native startups, and requires a deep understanding of the tech industry and its evolving landscape. You will need to be comfortable with travel to meet partners face-to-face and build strong relationships that drive business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Source and close integration partnerships with key players in the tech industry
  • Build and run referral, reseller, and OEM programs from scratch
  • Negotiate partnership agreements that balance Resend's interests with the need for speed and agility
  • Travel occasionally to meet partners face-to-face and build deep relationships
  • Structure co-sell motions with partners and hand off qualified pipeline to the sales team
  • Work with the product team to unblock stalled integrations that require a partner-side advocate
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy that aligns with Resend's business goals
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that drive growth and revenue
  • Manage and analyze partnership performance metrics to inform future strategy
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in building and executing partnerships in the tech industry
  • Strong understanding of the tech landscape and the ability to identify new partnership opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners
  • Experience with partnership development, including sourcing, structuring, and closing deals
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze partnership performance metrics and inform future strategy
