Job Description

About the Role

As a Business Development Representative at OpenAI, you will play a critical role in driving business growth in the APAC region. You will be responsible for identifying, shaping, and advancing complex enterprise opportunities, leveraging your expertise in GTM and AI to drive sales and revenue growth. The role is designed as a launchpad for future sellers at OpenAI, offering significant exposure to enterprise sales, product, and customer strategy.

The Enterprise Go-To-Market organization at OpenAI is dedicated to helping the world's largest companies adopt and scale the company's AI platform. You will be working closely with the Account Directors on account strategy, multi-threading, and deal progression, as well as designing and executing targeted outbound strategies to break into priority accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the APAC market, as well as experience in enterprise sales or strategic customer-facing roles in the finance or consulting industry.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Account Directors on account strategy, multi-threading, and deal progression
  • Design and execute targeted outbound strategies using industry context, stakeholder mapping, and product signal to break into priority accounts
  • Lead high-quality discovery to uncover business priorities, map stakeholders, and assess enterprise readiness
  • Contribute to pipeline reviews by sharing outbound activity, account insights, and early competitive signals
  • Build and iterate on AI-enabled GTM workflows (GPTs/Agents) to scale prospecting and qualification
  • Identify, shape, and advance complex enterprise opportunities by turning product usage, pilots, and inbound demand into qualified, high-conviction enterprise opportunities
  • Develop core skills in discovery, stakeholder mapping, deal shaping, and executive communication
  • Build a deep understanding of how leading companies adopt AI and drive business outcomes

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in enterprise sales, or in strategic customer-facing roles in the finance or consulting industry
  • A track record of consistently hitting and exceeding ambitious targets in enterprise or strategic sales environments
  • Experience selling into regulated or complex industries (Financial Services, Life Sciences, Retail)
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Ability to build credibility with senior C-Suite stakeholders across an organization, and speak fluently with technical buyers
  • Strong interest in the AI landscape with the ability to connect OpenAI products to real customer value and business outcomes
  • Ability to evangelize new technology and help the market understand what’s possible
  • Comfort with ambiguity, moving quickly, and operating well with a high degree of ownership
