About the Role

The Business Development Representative role at Huzzle is a strategic hunter position that requires a high-performing sales professional to spearhead the company's expansion in the Australian and Singaporean markets. As the first point of contact for CFOs and Finance Directors at major enterprises, the successful candidate will need to have a talent for navigating complex financial challenges and a drive to hit uncapped incentives. The role is based in Australia and will involve working closely with the UK-based leadership team while operating autonomously within the APAC timezone.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape and be able to communicate the value of Huzzle's services effectively. With over 13 years of experience in navigating complex sales cycles, Huzzle has established itself as a leading sales acceleration partner, specializing in outsourced demand generation and business development for ambitious B2B brands.

As a key member of the team, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth and generating new business opportunities. This will involve conducting outbound calls, qualifying leads, and booking high-level discovery calls. The role will also require close coordination with the UK-based leadership team and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct 50-80 outbound calls per day to senior finance leadership, including CFOs, Finance Directors, and VPs of Finance
  • Qualify leads to the 'Magic35' standard, ensuring a high-quality pipeline for the senior consulting team
  • Book high-level discovery calls and manage the early-stage sales funnel within Salesforce and Salesloft
  • Generate interest and secure attendance for niche industry events that the team attends across the APAC region
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape to effectively communicate the value of Huzzle's services
  • Coordinate closely with the UK-based leadership team while operating autonomously within the APAC timezone
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that meets or exceeds monthly sales targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at target enterprises
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional sales experience with a proven track record in outbound prospecting
  • Extensive experience selling directly to CFOs, Finance Directors, or Senior Finance leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills with a native-level Australian accent
  • Ability to work Australian business hours and commit to an initial 2-week training period in the UK timezone
  • Proficiency in modern sales stacks, specifically Salesforce and Salesloft
  • A results-oriented 'can-do' attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Experience working in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of sales experience within the Finance or SaaS sectors
  • Experience selling professional consultancy or implementation services
  • Familiarity with financial technologies such as CCH Tagetik, Workiva, Sage Intacct, FloQast, Pigment, Oracle NetSuite, or Kyriba
  • Previous experience in event-lead generation or field marketing support
  • A background in account management or client relationship services
