About the Role

The Business Development Representative - Enterprise role at Plaid is a unique opportunity to drive growth and innovation in the fintech industry. As a key member of the New Business team, you'll be responsible for identifying and pursuing new enterprise clients, navigating complex sales cycles, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers. Your day-to-day will involve strategic pipeline architecture, executive-level engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with various teams. The New Business team at Plaid is dedicated to bringing the company's innovative solutions to the world's largest and most complex enterprises. As a Business Development Representative, you'll be working closely with Enterprise Account Executives to map complex organizations, identify key decision-makers, and orchestrate outbound campaigns into target accounts. What You Will Do

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to map complex organizations and identify key decision-makers
  • Initiate and lead high-level discovery conversations with enterprise stakeholders to uncover complex business challenges
  • Develop and execute bespoke outreach strategies to drive deep engagement with target accounts
  • Conduct deep-dive qualification calls to assess buying interest, technical readiness, and alignment with Plaid's value proposition
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing and Product teams to provide feedback on enterprise campaigns and tailor messaging for specific verticals
  • Identify and research high-potential enterprise verticals to uncover hidden fintech use cases and drive massive revenue opportunities
  • Drive strategic account mapping and pipeline architecture to ensure alignment with Plaid's overall business strategy
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Plaid's products and services, including APIs, security standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Navigate complex procurement, legal, or security hurdles to drive sales growth and expansion
  • Provide regular pipeline updates and forecasts to ensure transparency and alignment with sales goals

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in pipeline development, account mapping, or sales (preferably within Enterprise SaaS or complex technical environments)
  • Proven ability to map multi-stakeholder organizations and navigate complex procurement, legal, or security hurdles
  • Exceptional ability to evangelize Plaid's value proposition and translate a highly technical product into clear, ROI-driven business value for enterprise executives
  • Strong understanding of SaaS sales principles, including sales cycle management, pipeline architecture, and customer relationship-building
  • Experience working with customers on technical products, including APIs, security standards, and compliance frameworks
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to master the ins and outs of Plaid's products and services
  • Resilient mindset with a passion for solving big problems and a desire to advance your career
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers
