About the Role

The Business Development Representative position at Better Business Bureau Serving the Heart of Texas is a remote, inside sales role that focuses on connecting with businesses in Texas to share the value of BBB Accreditation. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for making over 100 outbound calls daily, leveraging a mix of leads from the company's extensive database, warm leads, self-sourced prospects, and inbound requests. Your primary goal will be to build trust, communicate value, and close deals with integrity, all while maintaining a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.

As a representative of the BBB, you will be the voice of the organization, working to advance marketplace trust and promote the benefits of BBB Accreditation to businesses across Texas.

What You Will Do

  • Make 100+ outbound calls daily to businesses in Texas, leveraging various lead sources and prospecting techniques.
  • Build trust and communicate the value of BBB Accreditation to potential clients, highlighting the benefits of working with the Better Business Bureau.
  • Close deals and negotiate contracts with integrity, ensuring that all sales activities are conducted in accordance with the company's ethical standards.
  • Utilize CRM software and Microsoft 365 tools to manage leads, track progress, and analyze sales performance.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices, discuss challenges, and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and changes in the regulatory landscape, adapting your sales approach as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in sales competitions, incentive programs, and recognition events, striving to consistently meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Texas market, including local business conditions, industry trends, and competitor activity.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in an inside sales role.
  • A track record of sales awards or top-performer recognition, demonstrating your ability to consistently meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Strong phone presence and persuasive communication skills, with the ability to engage and persuade potential clients.
  • Active listening skills and conversation control skills, allowing you to effectively understand and address client needs.
  • Self-motivation, coachability, and a strong work ethic, with a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft 365, and other sales tools, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • High integrity and a strong commitment to ethical sales practices, aligning with the company's values and mission.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) are a plus, but not required.
