About the Role
As a Business Development Representative at Gitlab, you will be part of a growing Sales team, leading the initial outreach to targeted Enterprise and Mid Market accounts. You will work in conjunction with the Field and Digital Marketing teams as well as the Sales and Customer Success teams, leveraging creative marketing and sales tactics to prospect and engage with multiple buyer personas and roles. Your primary goal will be to generate qualified meetings and pipeline for Gitlab's Sales organization.The role is 100% remote, based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and/or Netherlands, offering a unique opportunity to work with a global team. What You Will Do
- Execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in your assigned territory
- Conduct high-level discovery conversations with target accounts to understand business needs, qualify opportunities, and create Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs)
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) targets by consistently converting qualified prospects into opportunities
- Research and prioritize target accounts using business and industry knowledge to identify key players, uncover compelling events, and develop tailored outreach strategies
- Execute a multi-touch outreach cadence (call, email, social, etc.) to all prospects in your assigned territory using Outreach.io to maximize engagement and conversion
- Collaborate with Field and Digital Marketing teams to align sales strategies and leverage marketing campaigns to drive sales growth
- Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless handovers and to provide feedback on sales strategies
- Utilize Salesforce, Adjust, and Excel to manage sales data, track performance, and analyze market trends
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Gitlab's products and services to effectively communicate value to potential customers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the tech industry, with a focus on business development and account management
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on results and performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive sales growth
- Experience with Salesforce, Adjust, and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
- Fluency in Polish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the tech industry and its trends
Nice to Have
- Experience in managing sales teams or leading sales initiatives
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and software development, with a understanding of Gitlab's products and services
- Familiarity with Outreach.io and other sales engagement platforms
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as Salesforce Administrator or HubSpot Sales
