About the Role

The Business Development Representative role at Southwest Solutions Group is a critical component of the company's sales strategy. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for generating qualified sales appointments through proactive outbound outreach and follow-through on incoming lead assignments. What You Will Do

  • Proactively generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, personalized outbound email, LinkedIn outreach, market research, and assigned lead engagement
  • Book qualified, sales-accepted appointments for assigned field sales representatives
  • Meet or exceed monthly qualified appointment targets
  • Follow defined outbound cadences consistently and accurately
  • Work directly with 5–8 assigned field sales representatives to refine messaging and targeting
  • Participate in regular feedback loops with field sales to improve appointment quality and conversion
  • Qualify prospects based on defined criteria before setting appointments
  • Ensure appointments are relevant, sales-ready, and properly positioned for the field representative
  • Take ownership of lead quality, not just volume
  • Accurately log all outreach, conversations, and appointments in the company CRM
  • Maintain clean, timely, and accurate CRM data
  • Comply with all activity and reporting standards

  • Prior experience in outbound sales or a similar role
  • Comfort speaking with decision-makers by phone
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
