What You Will Do

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including cold calling, list building, emailing, and social media outreach
  • Qualify outbound leads to determine their fit and potential as sales opportunities
  • Schedule qualified appointments and demos for the sales team to further engage potential clients
  • Assist the Account Executives where needed, effectively owning tasks assigned to you, including follow-ups and custom pieces of collateral
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Alpaca's products and services, including its institutional-grade APIs and brokerage infrastructure
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans, ensuring a cohesive and targeted approach to sales
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales team and other stakeholders, helping to refine and improve sales strategies and processes
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews, contributing to the discussion and providing updates on progress

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the financial services or technology sectors
  • Proven track record of success in a sales role, with a strong focus on lead generation and conversion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with potential clients and colleagues
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, including key trends and challenges
