Job Description

About the Role

As a Business Development Representative at Wiz, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth in the cloud security market. Your primary focus will be on identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities, building a robust pipeline of potential clients, and collaborating with the sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads. You will be working closely with the Account Executives to align strategies and develop a deep understanding of customer needs.

The role entails a mix of prospecting, lead generation, and relationship-building, requiring a strong foundation in sales principles and a keen interest in cloud security and technology. What You Will Do

  • Identify and research potential leads through various channels, including social media, email, and cold calls
  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs and qualify leads based on their interest in cloud security solutions
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team
  • Conduct discovery calls to gather information about potential clients and their current security measures
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to develop and execute sales strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, meetings, and follow-ups in Salesforce
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement effective sales processes and methodologies, such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies that can impact Wiz's solutions
  • Participate in sales meetings, product demos, and other sales-related activities as needed
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs on a consistent basis

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-2 years of experience in a business development or sales role, preferably in the cloud security or technology industry
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong track record of success in lead generation and conversion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of cloud security solutions, including their benefits, challenges, and applications
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to navigate complex sales processes and methodologies, with a strong understanding of sales principles and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and performance metrics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of resilience and adaptability
