Business Development Research Assistant

What You Will Do

• Provide administrative support to the Business Development team, including account builds, contact verification, and product whitespace reporting
• Assist with CRM data entry, maintenance, and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of leads and client interactions
• Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities to support the growth of the customer database
• Maintain accurate records and ensure the smooth operation of daily business development activities
• Support the Business Development team in achieving strategic growth objectives
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by management
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's products and services
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to support business development activities
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Contribute to the development of sales strategies and tactics to support the growth of the customer database

What We Are Looking For

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or communications
• Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented, with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also thriving in collaborative team environments
• Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights to support business development activities
• Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a business development or sales role, with a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Familiarity with marketing automation systems, such as Marketo or Pardot
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues remotely
