Business Development Support - Contractor/Consultant Pool

## About the Role Village Capital is seeking experienced professionals to join its contractor/consultant pool, supporting the company's business development, fundraising, and partnership growth. As a Business Development Support consultant, you will play a critical role in helping the company achieve its mission of reshaping the supply and demand sides of capital flows. Your expertise will be leveraged to support the identification, cultivation, and advancement of relationships with prospective funders, partners, sponsors, and ecosystem stakeholders.

The role entails working closely with the Village Capital team to develop and implement business development strategies, identify new opportunities, and build relationships with key stakeholders. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's ability to support early-stage startups and drive social impact. You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of professionals who are passionate about creating positive change.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in business development, fundraising, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the social impact sector. You will be expected to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities, and communicating effectively with the Village Capital team and external stakeholders.

## What You Will Do - Support the development of business development strategies and plans - Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective funders, partners, sponsors, and ecosystem stakeholders - Conduct research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends - Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential partners and funders - Support the creation of compelling funding proposals and external-facing materials - Manage and maintain relationships with existing partners and funders - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve business development efforts - Collaborate with the Village Capital team to develop and implement partnership engagement strategies - Support the management of CRM systems and data analysis - Develop and deliver reports and updates on business development progress

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in business development, fundraising, or a related field - Strong understanding of the social impact sector and impact investing - Experience working with early-stage startups and entrepreneurship support organizations - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities - Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities - Experience with CRM systems and data analysis - Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling funding proposals and external-facing materials - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

## Nice to Have - Experience working with foundations, venture capital, family offices, development finance institutions, or other social impact organizations - Knowledge of digital skills and technologies, such as CRM systems and data analysis tools - Experience with partnership development and engagement strategies - Certification in business development, fundraising, or a related field
