About the Role
The Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in Franciscan Health's Enterprise Analytics team, focusing on identifying business intelligence and data analysis needs to support strategic business objectives across clinical and operational areas. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, collaborating with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions. The team's goal is to enhance clinical and operational performance improvement through data analytics, and the Business Intelligence Analyst will be instrumental in achieving this objective.The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with senior analysts and department leadership to develop and implement data analysis solutions, integrating data from disparate sources to provide new insights and developing visualizations, interactive dashboards, and other displays to communicate results effectively. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Enterprise Analytics team is responsible for providing healthcare analytics support, including predictive and prescriptive analytics, statistical analysis, and data validation. The team works collaboratively with various clinical and business areas, including quality, patient safety, regulatory, clinical service lines, and administrative functions.
What You Will Do
- Analyze stakeholder requirements, identify data needs and sources, and extract and manipulate data using various reporting and analytical tools
- Develop automated reports, scorecards, and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, and Crystal Reports
- Guide users with data discovery and analysis via a high-level understanding of BI tool architecture, functions, features, and capabilities
- Collaborate with IS and other departments to design, create, test, and implement analytic tools, databases, data workflows, and/or applications that support stakeholder needs
- Establish a good understanding of assigned data domain to support stakeholders and departments across the organization
- Identify, develop, and support implementation of internal process improvement solutions that support the department's goal to enhance clinical and operational performance improvement with data analytics
- Adhere to policies/guidelines for project management, time management, and supporting documentation
- Perform data quality and profiling activities for deliverables, ensuring that best practices are followed and information delivered from BI solutions is reliable and of consistently high quality
- Consult with other analysts for feedback and guidance regarding best practices and quality assurance
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field
- 5 years of experience in Business/Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Healthcare Analytics/Quality, Clinical/Operational decision support, or related field
- 3 years of experience with SQL in an Oracle and/or SQL Server environment
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Epic (EMR)
- Strong understanding of healthcare data literacy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with Data Modeling for analytics and BI
- Experience with Databricks (Spark SQL) and Python
- Experience with MS Fabric and Cloud-Based Platforms
