About the Role

The Business Operations Lead at Headway is a pivotal role that will drive complex, cross-functional initiatives to advance pod-level objectives. As a Business Operations Lead, you will work closely with various stakeholders to identify opportunities, address dependencies, and ensure alignment across teams. Your expertise will be crucial in turning ambiguous problems into structured analyses, scalable processes, and clear recommendations.

What You Will Do

  • Drive complex, cross-functional initiatives that advance pod-level objectives
  • Identify opportunities, address dependencies, and ensure alignment across stakeholders
  • Build and operate scalable workflows and processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and throughput
  • Leverage data tools to extract insights, validate assumptions, and inform decisions
  • Synthesize findings into clear recommendations that guide pod and organizational priorities
  • Plan, execute, and deliver initiatives end-to-end, setting clear objectives, timelines, and success metrics
  • Drive accountability across functions without formal authority
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to identify areas for improvement

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in operational roles at high-growth companies, with a background in consulting, finance, or business operations preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Proficiency in AI & data tools, such as Looker, Excel, SQL, and dashboards
  • Experience designing systems with scale in mind, anticipating bottlenecks, and iterating based on feedback
  • Ability to coordinate resources and drive initiatives forward
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong understanding of business operations and process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
