About the Role
The Business Operations Manager role is at the strategic heart of PermitFlow, tackling the company's most critical and complex problems. This involves working closely with the leadership team to diagnose issues, design solutions, and drive execution across the business. Given the company's hypergrowth trajectory, this role offers a unique opportunity for a high-impact operator to shape the future of construction technology.Day-to-day, the successful candidate will partner with executives to scope, prioritize, and lead strategic projects that drive company-defining initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, strategy, and the ability to turn ambiguity into actionable plans. The ideal candidate will have a player-coach mindset, being equally comfortable analyzing data and leading execution.
The BizOps team is central to PermitFlow's success, and as such, this role comes with significant autonomy and trust. The company is looking for someone who can own problems end-to-end and has the vision to shape a venture-backed business. What You Will Do
- Partner with executives to scope, prioritize, and lead strategic and cross-functional projects
- Structure unclear problems, define the key questions, and build executable plans that drive measurable outcomes
- Transform insights into repeatable processes and operational playbooks
- Design metrics, dashboards, and analyses that drive business decisions
- Collaborate across Sales, Product, Operations, and Leadership to align teams and accelerate growth
- Drive company-defining initiatives and ensure their successful execution
- Develop and maintain scalable systems that support business growth
- Analyze complex data sets to inform strategic decisions
- Communicate complex ideas and plans in a clear, actionable manner
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or business operations/strategy at a high-growth startup
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to clarify ambiguity and drive decisions
- Player-coach mindset, with equal comfort in running analysis and leading execution
- Structured communicator, able to distill complexity into simple, actionable insights
- Bias for action, with a focus on moving fast, iterating quickly, and driving impact
- Collaborative partner, with a track record of succeeding through influence and cross-functional teamwork
- Experience with business operations, strategy, and project management
- Strong understanding of business metrics and data analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
