Job Description

About the Role

The Business Operations role at Plaid is a pivotal position that involves driving the strategic and operational agenda for key areas of the business, particularly those related to Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives. This role is designed for a high-impact, low-ego problem solver who can partner directly with leaders across Product and GTM to tackle some of Plaid's most pressing business challenges. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mind, a structured approach to problem-solving, and the ability to proactively navigate ambiguity.

As part of the BizOps team, you will be at the forefront of solving complex business issues that have a direct, quantifiable impact on Plaid's customers, partners, and bottom line. This is a unique opportunity to own analysis, operating cadences, and cross-functional projects that span multiple departments, including Product, GTM, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Partnerships. The role is not only challenging but also rewarding, with past team members having progressed to leadership roles in Product, GTM, and operational functions across Plaid.

The work environment at Plaid is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on innovation and teamwork. As a member of the BizOps team, you will be expected to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization and drive cross-functional consensus to achieve common goals.

What You Will Do

  • Drive the strategic and operational agenda for a Product or GTM organization, including cross-functional initiatives.
  • Own foundational operating rhythms such as monthly business reports, QBRs, OKRs, and KPIs, and evolve them as the business scales.
  • Build out dashboards, metrics, and success measures that provide leadership with visibility and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Partner on product strategy topics including pricing, commercialization, and go-to-market for new and existing products.
  • Utilize AI tools and agents as a default part of your workflow to accelerate processes.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Plaid's business, including its products, services, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze budgetary impacts and forecasts.
  • Work closely with the Legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Engage with the Partnerships team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's overall strategic vision and growth plan.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6-11 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or operating roles (BizOps, Strategy & Ops, Finance).
  • A high degree of analytical capability and the ability to approach problems in a structured manner.
  • Proven experience in building relationships at all levels and driving cross-functional consensus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and agents to accelerate workflows.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or high-growth SaaS is a significant plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools beyond Tableau.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Certification in analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing or working with remote teams.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Generous PTO policy, including vacation days, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training, mentorship, and conference attendance.
  • Access to the latest tools and technologies.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a team of talented professionals.
  • Recognition and reward for outstanding performance and contributions.
  • A stipend for home office setup and ongoing remote work expenses.
