About the Role

The Candidate Experience Specialist role at Gitlab is a unique opportunity to shape the hiring process and ensure a seamless experience for candidates. As a key partner to Recruiters, hiring managers, and recruiting leadership, this role entails collaborating on hiring plans, coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate processes in the applicant tracking system and GitLab repositories. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Recruiters, hiring teams, and Recruiting leadership to understand and execute the hiring plan for each job requisition
  • Coordinate with Recruiters to maintain accurate, up-to-date hiring process information in the applicant tracking system and GitLab repositories
  • Manage candidate scheduling and act as the Recruiting Coordinator to organize interviews and keep hiring processes running smoothly
  • Ensure candidates receive timely, thoughtful, and engaging communication at each stage of the hiring process
  • Help manage candidate traffic for all roles, monitoring pipelines and flagging issues or bottlenecks to the recruiting team
  • Create and stage employment contracts for candidates receiving offers on behalf of hiring managers and Recruiters
  • Partner with People Operations to create a seamless handoff for new team members joining Gitlab
  • Promote Gitlab's values, culture, and all-remote approach in every interaction, acting as a brand ambassador for potential team members
  • Analyze hiring metrics and provide insights to improve the recruitment process
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and candidate satisfaction

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting end-to-end hiring processes in partnership with recruiters and hiring managers, ideally in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
  • Skill using an applicant tracking system to schedule, track, and move candidates through interview stages
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a remote, global environment and collaborate with team members across different time zones
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Experience with recruitment coordination, including scheduling interviews and managing candidate pipelines
  • Familiarity with Gitlab's values and culture, and ability to embody them in every interaction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze hiring metrics and provide insights

Nice to Have

  • Experience with recruitment marketing and employer branding
  • Knowledge of recruitment technology and tools, such as applicant tracking systems and recruitment software
  • Certification in recruitment or human resources, such as a Recruiter Certification or HR certification
  • Experience working in a tech or software company, with a understanding of the industry and its recruitment challenges
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
