About the Role

The Channel Business Development Manager role at Plaid is a unique opportunity to drive growth through partnerships and sales enablement. As a key member of the GTM Partnerships team, you will be responsible for unlocking 'one to many' customer relationships with technology platforms, allowing more end customers and consumers to benefit from Plaid's solutions. Your primary focus will be on supporting banking and wealth partners, working closely with partner GTM teams to drive pipeline growth, equip them with the tools and content needed to win, and ensure Plaid is the go-to choice for every relevant opportunity.

The role requires a deep understanding of sales enablement, pipeline development, and channel management, as well as the ability to work closely with senior members of the Partnerships and Sales teams. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing channel conflict, and maintaining deal velocity across all partner relationships.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales enablement strategies to equip partner GTM teams with the training, content, and tools needed to effectively pitch and sell Plaid's solutions
  • Drive pipeline growth through targeted campaigns, outbound strategies, and co-selling support, while maintaining visibility into partner-sourced and influenced opportunities
  • Manage channel conflict and facilitate communication between Plaid and its partner ecosystem to minimize channel conflict and ensure deal velocity is maintained
  • Serve as the connective tissue between Plaid and its partner ecosystem, ensuring that all partners have the support and resources needed to succeed
  • Collaborate with partner sales teams to drive pipeline growth and maintain a strong understanding of partner sales strategies and tactics
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Plaid's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and sales enablement
  • Work closely with senior members of the Partnerships and Sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics
  • Develop and maintain sales assets, such as pitch decks and battle cards, to support partner sales teams
  • Provide strategic insights and feedback to key stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and GTM teams

What We Are Looking For

  • 4 years of experience in inside sales, SDR/BDR, partnerships, sales enablement, or a related GTM role, with a focus on fintech or financial services
  • Early track record of contributing to pipeline or revenue growth in a team-oriented sales environment
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to translate product and technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for sales audiences
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain CRM hygiene
  • Experience working with sales teams, product managers, and marketing professionals to drive growth and innovation
  • Strong understanding of sales enablement, pipeline development, and channel management principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on collaboration, creativity, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience working with fintech or financial services companies, with a deep understanding of the industry and its trends
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities

  • Knowledge of sales enablement tools and technologies, such as sales content management platforms and sales analytics software
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
