About the Role
The Channel Director role at ABB is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of sales, marketing, and business development expertise. This role is a player-coach position, requiring technical understanding of products to support account development activities with channel partners. You will be working closely with the Regional Channel Director to achieve business objectives and expand the company's reach in the Texas market.The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in sales and business development, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with channel partners. You will be responsible for establishing trust and credibility with these partners, and for identifying new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute the channel business plan, in alignment with the company's overall strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with channel partners, including executive-level relationships and relationships with sales teams
- Identify new business opportunities and drive growth and revenue through strategic planning and execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive growth
- Provide support and guidance to channel partners, including technical support and sales training
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the industry, including market trends and competitor activity
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the industry, including channel partners, customers, and competitors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and strategic alliances
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of relevant experience in sales and business development, with a focus on channel management and partner relations
- Strong knowledge of the industry, including market trends and competitor activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with channel partners and internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends and identify areas for improvement
- Experience with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
- Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high degree of autonomy and self-motivation
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions
- Knowledge of OEM revenue models and G2M strategies
- Experience with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
- Certification in sales or business development, such as a CSP or CBP designation
