## About the Role The Chemistry & Python Expert role at Mindrift involves working on project-based AI training opportunities with leading tech companies. This position requires a unique blend of chemistry knowledge and Python programming skills to design, develop, and solve complex computational chemistry problems. The role is not a permanent employment position but rather a chance to contribute to various projects on a part-time basis.

Day-to-day activities will include designing original computational chemistry problems, creating Python programming tasks, and verifying solutions using standard computational chemistry approaches. The problems designed should simulate real chemistry research workflows and require non-trivial reasoning chains in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.

The ideal candidate will be part of a network of specialists working on project-based AI opportunities. This role offers the chance to apply chemistry knowledge and digital skills to real-world challenges and to work with a variety of leading tech companies.

## What You Will Do - Design original computational chemistry problems that simulate real chemistry research workflows - Create problems requiring Python programming to solve, utilizing libraries such as numpy, scipy, and chemical libraries - Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes - Develop problems requiring non-trivial reasoning chains in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling - Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from chemistry practice - Verify solutions using Python with standard computational chemistry approaches - Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers - Collaborate with other specialists on project-based AI training opportunities - Participate in the evaluation and improvement of AI systems

## What We Are Looking For - Degree in Chemistry or a related field - Python proficiency for numerical validation, with knowledge of libraries such as numpy, scipy, and pandas being a plus - 2+ years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching chemistry - Experience with numerical methods in chemistry - Familiarity with computational chemistry concepts and methods - Strong written English skills (C1+ level) - Ability to work on a part-time, project-based basis - Experience with other programming languages or tools such as MATLAB, R, C, SQL, or domain-specific libraries is a plus
