About the Role

The Chief of Staff role at Cohere is a strategic leadership position that focuses on optimizing sales operations, enabling revenue growth, and ensuring alignment between sales execution and company objectives. As a key member of the sales team, the successful candidate will partner with the CRO to define and implement sales strategies, forecasts, and performance metrics. What You Will Do

  • Partner with the CRO to define and implement sales strategies, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Streamline sales processes, including pipeline management, CRM optimization, and sales enablement tools
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution
  • Monitor sales KPIs, conduct data-driven insights, and recommend adjustments to improve conversion rates and revenue attainment
  • Contribute to sales operations, business development, and support functions, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Serve as a liaison between sales leadership and executive teams, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the sales process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales enablement programs
  • Analyze sales data and provide insights to inform business decisions

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role, contributing to sales operations, business development, and strategy, preferably in AI, SaaS, or enterprise software
  • Strong analytical mindset and proficiency in CRM platforms, such as Salesforce
  • Experience translating business goals into actionable sales plans
  • Ability to mentor teams, drive accountability, and navigate high-growth environments
  • Executive-level communication skills and experience creating board-level presentation decks and customer engagement materials
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster a high-performance culture
  • Experience with sales process optimization and sales enablement tools
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adjust, a mobile marketing analytics platform
  • Knowledge of AI-driven sales solutions and their applications
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting and pipeline management tools
  • Certification in sales operations or a related field
